Due to the investment totaling 259,690 Euros, including more than 179,000 Euros provided by the EU, Bela Palanka now has a modernised 120 m² facility that ensures more stable water supply for residents in the urban area. And where there is reliable water, there are better sanitary conditions, greater security for households, schools and institutions—and new opportunities for local development.
This initiative is part of 37 local infrastructure projects across Šumadija and Western Serbia, and Southern and Eastern Serbia, funded by the EU through the EU PRO Plus programme with nearly six million Euros. These projects are improving the quality of life by upgrading educational, healthcare, and social welfare institutions, as well as sports and cultural facilities, public administration buildings, and communal services.
